Storyboard and Animatic
Overview
This project explores the animation pre-production pipeline through storyboarding, visual development, and animatic production. Beginning with rough concept sketches and environmental studies, I developed the narrative through iterative storyboard panels before assembling the sequence into a timed animatic in Adobe After Effects. The project demonstrates how visual storytelling evolves from early concepts into a cohesive animated sequence.
Process
The project began with visual exploration and concept development, including environment studies, composition experiments, and rough storyboard sketches to establish the mood and pacing of the narrative. Multiple storyboard iterations refined camera angles, transitions, and visual continuity before the artwork was assembled into an animatic in Adobe After Effects. Working through these drafts allowed me to evaluate timing, rhythm, and storytelling long before final animation, resulting in a stronger and more intentional sequence.
Final Outcome
The completed animatic serves as a proof of concept for the final animation, communicating narrative structure, pacing, and visual direction through sequential artwork and timed editing. The project demonstrates both artistic development and technical proficiency in planning animation before production begins.
