This project explores the anatomy, behavior, and ecological context of the pūkeko (Porphyrio melanotus) through research-driven digital reconstruction. Process

Initial concept sketches and reference boards guided the sculpting process before the final model was refined and placed within a habitat-inspired scene.
Final Outcome
The completed visualization presents the pūkeko within a naturalistic setting, emphasizing posture, movement, and ecological presence. The project demonstrates how digital reconstruction can support wildlife education by translating observational research into an engaging visual experience.
